Emergency Program Security Technician - Mid
Polaris Consulting Group, Inc. (PolarisGov) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual for the position of Emergency Program Security Specialist. The Emergency Program Security Technician will provide technical expertise and interpret security policy guidance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Assist with functionality tests and safety evaluations at client worksite.
· Assists with the coordination of training exercises and safety exercises to prepare individuals and the organization for responding to emergencies.
· Effectively support the emergency response efforts and contribute to the overall safety and security of the organization during an emergency.
· Conduct Inventories and tests as required on all emergency related items (First Aid kits, AEDs, Shelter in place cabinets, etc.) monthly and report all items/devices that need to be replaced.
· Assist with conducting risk assessments for potential hazards and vulnerabilities for various emergencies and disasters.
· Supports planning, developing, managing, and maintaining accurate records of activities, training sessions, and emergency response efforts, including drafting after-action reports.
· ensure that emergency plans comply with local, state, and federal regulations
· Knowledgeable on current laws and regulations as they relate to emergency preparedness procedures for government facilities.
Requirement:
· Three (3) to five (5) years relevant security experience.
· HS diploma required - Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree preferred
Security Requirements:
· Final Top Secret personnel security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Skills:
· Good Organization Skills
· Ability to resolve complaints and concerns
· Ability to use established procedures
· Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
· Basic Computer Skills – Basic experience with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements: This position requires employees to be willing and able to: sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk. Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting and moving
heavy security items.
Communication: Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and oral command of English.
